FBI A-juniorit voittivat Raatti Cupin

Raatti Cup 2009 pelattiin lauantaina 12.9.2009 Nilsiän liikuntatalolla. Harjoitusturnaukseen otti osaa yhteensä 10 Itä-Suomen alueen 3-5. divisioona sekä harraste joukkuetta. Uutena kokeiluna testattu saman joukkueen peräkkäiset ottelut näyttivät toimivan turnauksessa hyvin, joten uutta ja toimivaa konseptia on tuskin tarvetta jatkossakaan muuttaa.

Aamupäivä pitkälle iltapäivään asti kului runkosarjaotteluiden merkeissä, kun molempien lohkojen joukkueet kohtasivat toisensa kertaalleen. Lohkojaot olivat varsin tasaiset ja panoksia riitti aivan viimeisiin otteluihin asti, koska molempien lohkojen jatkoon menijät selvisivät vasta lohkojen viimeisessä taistossa. A-lohkosta jatkoon selvisivät ensimmäisenä VehVe, FBI A-junioreiden ollen toisena. B-lohkon voittaja oli taas SB Savon B-juniorit ja toinen PPK Legends.

Välierissä kohtasivat VehVe ja PPK Legends sekä SB Savo B-jun. ja FBI A-jun.. VehVe oli 2-0 maalein PPK Legendsia parempi, kun taas FBI A-juniorit hiljensivät paikallisyleisön voittaen SB Savon B-juniorit myös maalein 2-0.

Loppuottelu huipentui VehVen ja FBI A-junioreiden kahden erän mittaiseen taistoon. Ottelu olikin tasaista vääntöä, mutta pistepörssin voittanut Esko Seppälä, FBI A-jun. oli toista mieltä tehden ottelussa tehot 3+2. FBI voitti ottelun lopulta maalein 6-2 ja oli ansainnut Raatti Cupin mestaruuden.

Turnauksen aikana palkittiin myös kolme pelaajaa arvonnan tuloksena Blastin tuotepalkinnoin. Palkitut pelaajat olivat:
10 Mika Ruokolainen, Team Tonni
76 Heikki Savolainen, PPK Legends
3 Teuvo Väätäinen, JuPy.

SB Raatin taival katkesi kehnoon viimeistelyyn alkusarjassa, kun joukkue teki neljässä ottelussa vain kolme maalia. Vaikka Raatilla oli jatkopaikka viimeisessä ottelussa vielä omissa käsissä voitolla FBI A-junioreista, niin tarvittavia maaleja ei saatu tehtyä hyvistä paikoista huolimatta, vaan FBI voitti ottelun lopulta 4-1. Maalinteon vaikeuksista huolimatta SB Raatin valmennus on tyytyväinen joukkueen valmistautumiseen kautta ajatellen. Olemme joukkueena saaneet todella loistavan ja fyysisesti kovan valmistautumisen kauteen ja varsinkin uusien pelaajien sisäänajo on onnistunut hyvin.
